09 Mar What should I do if I or my company receive a statutory demand?
You should not ignore a statutory demand as it could lead to you being made bankrupt or to the court winding up your company. If you wish to avoid this, you must:
- comply with the demand; or
- take action to stop the creditor presenting a bankruptcy or winding-up petition if you believe that you have good reason to do so.
